For fall 2016 Tadashi Shoji RTW featured classic garments with a unique spin. Tribal influences turned the runway into a tattoo parlor as the show opened with a sheer jumpsuit worn with a short black wrap skirt that appeared to almost be painted onto the body. Though these motifs may seem like something that would be a little edgier than previous collections, they work by producing beautiful and subtle undertones resulting in elegant fall looks.
The tattoo and tribal look is something that has been exemplified in a variety of bohemian influences through the years but Tadashi Shoji is one of the first shows that used these motifs with ink adornment effects. Looks in this collection were produced using sequins and paillettes arranged in tribal geometric patterns.
