Designer Reem Acra presented her Spring/Summer 2015 collection on September 8 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
As a starting point for her Spring 2015 collection, Reem Acra viewed the work of mid-20th century Paris couturiers, along with fashion photography of that era, and transformed those elements into a glamourous, yet thoroughly fresh vision for the modern woman.
Classic hand draped jersey had been given a new twist with cut out detailing and body conscious silhouettes. This draping became more sculptural as fabrics evolved into silk organza and chiffons. Sculptural elements continued, as panels of her signature embroidery were molded and placed asymmetrically across the body.
